The hotel is located close to the river, Roman ruins, and a working farm. the room was beautiful and airy, with a good bathroom. - the staff and the host were amiable and lovely. - the location in a lovely area is stunning.

I had a lovely 3-night stay here! They offered spotless and brand-new rooms with clean towels and the most comfortable bed. - I had tasty food for breakfast with nice views. - the staff was very amiable.

Four of us were made very welcome by our hostess on arrival and she was most warm and friendly throughout our stay. Rooms clean and very comfortable. Breakfast great.

Location and views amidst beautiful countryside. The hostess was so friendly and accommodating throughout our three day stay. She went out of her way to enable us to visit an old chapel nearby. She gave us good advice about parking and where to walk.

Had 3 nights in Allendale, spent our time here lovely. This location was lovely, near to Historic Sites, and the river. It also was in a lovely area. The staff was amicable and very friendly - we will be back.

This place is situated in a great remote location near the river, surrounded by wildlife and historic sites, and it's a working farm with a delicious variety of breakfast options.

Idyllic location for a country lover.

Although there were a few minor inconveniences, such as having to remove outdoor shoes due to the light-colored carpets, it did not detract from the overall enjoyment of my stay. And if I had been forewarned, I would have brought slip-on shoes or slippers to make it more convenient.
